Penny Rhodes Colorado Artist, New Work "Dance Hall Girl" Victorian West Series, charcoal and pastel on frosted acetate

Inspired by historical stories/rumors of a dance hall girl in Cripple Creek who after getting into a fight with her lover, started the great fire of the town in the 1800's. "What a tangled web we weave, go 'round with circumstance, can someone tell me how to tell the dancer from the dance?"....from the song "Saturday Night", Desperado Album by the Eagles.

This original as well as more work are available for purchase. Please visit: http://www.pennyrhodes.com or email me: pennylrhodes@hotmail.com.
