This is an award-winning piece that
is soon to be shown at the library at Front Range Community College in the “Art
from the Heart” show sponsored by the Paletteers Art Club, Inc. The painting
will be for sale at the show.
“Granite Grandeur” is a scene from
the Snowy Range Mountains in southern Wyoming. The lovely glacial lakes sit at
the bottom of tall granite peaks with glaciers nestled in their crags. The
roads across Snowy Range in the Medicine Bow National Forest are all closed
during the winter which gives you an idea of the weather issues…
I used Wallis sanded paper as the
ground and a mixture of soft pastels. This painting is matted and framed out to
a 12 x 16 size, ready for hanging. Although, if purchased matted but unframed,
the shipping would be less but will need to be framed under glass.
I will accept landscape commissions if you have a favorite
scene. Prices vary by size.
