Around The Bend is really partly from my imagination , and partly from a scene I saw during a movie on TV.

 

I loved the quaintness of the village in the background.

I embellished with streams of smoke from chimneys for just as a cosy touch.

 

This is a pastel on velour paper.

This little painting is of a little grove of aspen on the road toward Mt. Evans, Colorado. The aspens have a root system that sends up “shoots” to make new trees. These are probably all connected by the same root system…family, so to speak!
